Grand Prize Pool of NT$6 Million! Faculty members are sincerely invited to mentor students in participating in the 2026 AI Innovation Award, helping strengthen Taiwan’s AI innovation ecosystem and enhance international competitiveness.
Organizer
The 2026 AI Innovation Award is organized by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).
Purpose
The competition promotes the transformation of academic AI research into practical industrial solutions. It emphasizes real-world applications, advanced technologies such as Physical AI and Embodied AI, and field validation to accelerate commercialization.

June 1, 2026 (Mon.), 14:00–16:00, Taipei Computer Association, Room 501.
Eligibility
Open to startups, universities/research institutes, research centers, and self-organized teams (3–8 members). University, graduate, and high school students, as well as members of the public, may participate.
Schedule
Registration: now–July 31, 2026, 17:00.
Preliminary review: August 2026.
Final on-site demo: Late September 2026.
Winners announced: Late September to early October 2026.
Theme
AI × Healthcare: Applying AI to clinical diagnosis, healthcare, smart hospitals, and robotic services.

1. Clinical Diagnosis and Medical Decision Innovation
2. Smart Care and Home Healthcare Innovation
3. Smart Hospital Operations and Robotic Service Innovation
Submission Requirements
Preliminary review: written proposal including team profile, problem statement, Physical AI/Embodied AI solution, system architecture, hardware validation plan, and business model.
Final review: 15-minute live demonstration and presentation followed by 15-minute Q&A.
Awards
Total prize pool: NT$6 million.
For the Compal category, up to three winning teams will each receive NT$1 million in prize money and NT$1 million in incubation scholarship support.
